Converting Music in iTunes To MP3 Format

Follow these simple steps to convert your iTunes library to MP3 (Note: Variations in your version iTunes maybe different than the current version. The screen shots in this article are from iTunes v 8.1)
Step 1: Open your iTunes Program
Step 2: In iTunes™ locate the Edit tab on top menu bar and choose the Preferences Tab
Step 3: In the Preferences menu, select the General Tab

Step 4: In the General menu, click the Import Setting Button and a Import Setting Window will appear

Step 5: From that drop down menu select MP3 encoder ( At this time you can also select the quality of your recording. Remember the higher quality the song the more space it will take up on your MP3 Player

Step 6: Highlight the songs you wish to convert and right click.
Step 7: Select create an MP3 Version this will make a copy in your iTunes Music directory. Highlight as many songs as you like to create your new workout music library. Its super simple and will convert your digital music library in minutes.

Note: By choosing MP3 encoder, you have now changed your default settings to burn and rip all music from CD’s into MP3 format. Music from your library can now be converted to MP3 format. If you wish to continue to use your iPod with iTunes please make sure you make a COPY of your new MP3 File or you will convert your entire library to MP3. If this happens you will need to convert your entire library over to ACC again for it to sync with your Apple Product.
Once you have converted your MP3 Songs you may wish to create playlists of these files so you can separate them from the other formated ACC music in iTunes.
