100 new iPhone Features - Coming Soon

iPhone 3.0 is on the discussion board and it looks like there are basically 100 new features that will be added to the next software version.   While things are still in development Apple has given a quick glimpse into the new operating system.  According to all the information that is out in the public view keep a look out for this new OS around mid Summer.   Enhancements include:

  1. Search your iPhone - Spotlight is coming to the iPhone. Apple users all know about the magnifying glass symbol on their lap tops now it it will be available on your iPhone
  2. Device tethering -  Meaning you can link your laptop to your iPhone which will allow you to use your iPhone as a "modem" or conduit to the Internet.  In essence your iPhone becomes an aircard of sorts
  3. Cut, copy, and paste  -  HUGE Fix especially for PDA users.  This includes text and photos
  4. Send photos, contacts, audio files, and location via MMS*
  5. Stereo Blue Tooth support means stereo headphones and other wireless conductivity
  6. Voice memo application built into the OS
  7. Peer to Peer conductivity between iPhones or iTouches.  Share files, programs etc
  8. Read and compose email and text messages in landscape

Almost forgot  - The update will be FREE for iPhone owners but iTouch owners that are looking to upgrade their OS will have to pay around $10.00.
